It was your cliched Game of 2 halves when Watson Integrity PN Marist played hosts to Suchy & Co Realty Ltd FC Western with the home team scoring inside 10 minutes through Campbell Wallace then Dominic Richmond converted from the spot less than 5 minutes later. FC Western found themselves back in the contest when Jack Flood netted his penalty opportunity to cut the PN Marist lead to 1 just before the half. The second half saw neither team able to find the back of the net until second half substitute Jack Gunson scored to level the scores. FC western then claimed all 3 points when Flood scored his second of the day very late on.

Quick fire goals to Farina Anchico and Hannah Pilley had the visiting Wellington United Diamonds team ahead inside 15minute when they travelled up to Taradale Park to face Shadow Solutions Taradale AFC. Achinco then grabbed a second just before the end of the first half giving the visitors a 3 goal lead going into the break. The second half saw more of the same as Wellington United scored 3 more times during the second half first to Natalie Olson who continued her hot start to the season infront of goal. Carolyn O’Reilly then grabbed herself a brace as the defending champions ran our 6-0 winners.

Men’s Federation Cup
In the game of the round, we had TSH Moturoa AFC hosting Wanganui City FC 1sts at Onuku Taipari Domain. On paper this was sure to be a close encounter and the game didn't disappoint. Both teams were locked together until the 76th minute when Wanganui City took the lead thanks to Levi Hoekstra. With time running out Moturoa never gave up and in the 88th minute managed to equalise late thanks to a goal by Dean Wilson. Going into extra time both teams created opportunities as the game was end to end. However, in the 23rd minute of extra time Quadri Agbelekale stepped up to put Wanganui City ahead again. Moturoa would not give up and replied almost instantly in the 24th minute of extra time thanks to Logan Hislop. Despite both teams' efforts the game would remain 2-2 and go to penalties. Unfortunately, a winner must be decided and Moturoa would prevail to win 3-1 in penalties. A cracking game of cup football between two evenly matched sides.

In this week’s game of the round, we had Chillmax Takaro AFC Jokers taking on Youm PN Marist Men’s Reserves at Skoglund Park. Takaro were looking to continue their perfect start while Marist were looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat with three points. The beginning was a very cagey affair with both sides not giving an inch. It wasn't until the 39th minute that Marist scored thanks to Sam Hickmott. They would take an important 2 goal lead into halftime thanks to a Charles Parker goal in the 44th minute. Takaro came out in the second half determined to get back into the game. They say a two nil scoreline is dangerous and Takaro proved this with goals in the 53rd and 63rd minutes thanks to Dylan Welch and Scott Burney. With the game looking like heading for a draw, up stepped Michael Whitemore as he continued his hot goal scoring form. Goals in the 80th and 84th minutes gave Takaro a 4-2 win and the all-important three points. Takaro remains hot on the heels of PNU at the top while Marist sits midtable in 6th place.

From the start this was a tight game with neither side taking full advantage. With a draw looking very likely it was Jed Wilkins in the 86th minute who came up with the late winner to give Marist all three points. A tight affair between two evenly matched sides that could have gone anyway.

In this week's game of the round, we had DSC Rangers taking on RSM Hustlers. This proved to be a tight encounter. It would be Dannevirke who would get off to a good start taking a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Jonathan Ryklief in the 34th and 48th minute. The Hustlers would fight back in the second half and goals from David Burrows (54th minute) and Ryan Stockley (71st minute) created a thrilling finish.
