ABOUT US
Central Football is one of six geographic Federations established by New Zealand Football to service the sport of football encompassing the regions of Taranaki, Whanganui, Manawatu, Hawkes Bay and Tairāwhiti Gisborne. Federations are the result of New Zealand Football introducing a structure into the game that aims to deliver more value to its stakeholders.
The Federations are responsible for local growth and developing the game through improving systems, enhancing communication with members, and being more accountable to football being developed rather than purely administered.
Federations have combined Coaching, Refereeing, Playing and Administrating functions, across all ages, grades, divisions; competitive and social, clubs and schools. They are also responsible for constructing their own infrastructure, funding their activities and developing their own visions and plans to grow the sport within their own geographical boundaries and communities.
