Central Football have a Board vacancy and now welcome expressions of interest from people across our diverse communities who may wish to be considered for this position.
Central Football are one of seven Federations across New Zealand vested with developing and managing the games of football and futsal. The Central Federation spans from Tairāwhiti (Tūranga/Gisborne region) to Taranaki encompassing the Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, and Whanganui regions also. We currently have Board members based in each of our five regions and are a fully committed and engaged group. The role is voluntary although any expenses are reimbursed.
Central Football is an active member of Diversity Works NZ, are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to adhering to Sport New Zealand’s edit of having 40% female representation on our Board. The Board meets eight time per annum through a mixture of face to face or virtual means. The time commitment outside of these eight meetings is not excessive with the occasional additional Zoom call and Board decision along with reading preparation documents and reports prior to meetings.
Central Football are committed to the development of football and futsal across our Federation and providing the best opportunities and experiences for our member clubs, players, coaches, match officials and administrators. Our Strategic Plan is focused on three key pillars “Engage with the Game”, “Fuel the Game” and “Grow the Game” and the Board are very focused on ensuring that the organisation aligns to these three pillars in all that they do.
